Windsor Secondary is located at 931 Broadview Drive in North Vancouver and teaches grades 8-12. Opened in 1961, this High School has an enrollment of approximately 850 students.
Windsor has an extensive athletics program which includes the Hockey Academy and Soccer Academy programs which allow students to replace their physical education course to focus their time and effort into refining their abilities at a specific sport. The school offers a wide variety of sports including cross country, field hockey, football, rugby, soccer, swimming, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, skiing, snowboarding, wrestling, badminton, golf, mountain biking, track & field, and ultimate.
The school has an arts program which includes theatre performance & production, concert band, jazz band, choir, and film & television with a focus “to help students develop the skills needed for creative thinking and to provide opportunities for self-knowledge and self-confidence.”
Windsor is one of the highest rated secondary schools in North Vancouver with a Fraser Institute’s overall rating of 7.4 out of 10 placing it 49th out of 284 schools in British Columbia and the Yukon. The school has a grade 12 enrollment of approximately 150 students, 1-2% ESL students, 15-16% special needs, and 15% French Immersion.
