Seycove Secondary is a High School located at 1204 Caledonia Avenue in North Vancouver. Seycove teaches grades 8 – 12 and has a student population of approximately 800 students.
Seycove offers a wide variety of programs for students including apprenticeships which cover business, fine arts, design, media, fitness, health services, human services, liberal arts, humanities, sciences, tourism, hospitality, food industry, trades and technology. These programs offer a combination of in-class education as well as on-site job training. The Music program includes concert, jazz and chamber choir and have travelled to perform in New York City at Carnegie Hall.
The School has an extensive athletics program which includes a ski and snowboard team which has been recognized as the district champions for multiple years. Other athletics programs include cross country, rugby, soccer, gymnastics, rowing, basketball, badminton, mountain biking, swimming, tennis, field hockey, track & field, golf, and volleyball. Seycove Secondary has won numerous championships across its wide variety of sports.
The technology department competes annually in the Skills Canada Robotics challenge and alternative energy challenges. Students are challenged to design and construct projects that range from off-road vehicles to solar-powered vehicles.
According to the Fraser Institute, Seycove Secondary ranks 83/284 in British Columbia and the Yukon. The school has a grade 12 enrollment of approximately 140 students, with 1% ESL, 11-12% Special Needs, no French Immersion and ranks 6.9 out of 10 overall.
