The Athletics program focuses on PIPER P.O.W.E.R. which is an acronym for students to take inspiration and try to live by, it stands for: Pride in ourselves, our work and school, Open-mindedness towards other individuals, cultures and ideas, Wisdom to choose the right path, Excellence as the goal for everything we try, Respect for self, others and the world around us.
Argyle has a long history of sport successes in both team and individual sports including hockey, volleyball, cross country, rugby, basketball, cheer-leading, curling, gymnastics, wrestling, tennis and ultimate. The school has received numerous of local and provincial awards and trophies throughout its long and celebrated history.

“The primary role of Argyle Secondary School is to assist students in the ongoing process of becoming an educated person by providing a nurturing environment. An educated person is thoughtful and capable of making independent and informed decisions. According to the Fraser Institute, Argyle is ranked 74 out of 284 in British Columbia with an FI rating of 7/10. The school has approximately 300 grade 12 students, 2-3% ESL students, 9% special needs, and 20% French immersion. Among the numerous Argyle alumni are musician Bryan Adams, NHLer Paul Kariya, Olympian Jessica Smith, and actor Jason Priestley.
